Toys R Us

Toys R Us is a mega super store that makes a trip to the toy store an experience. The founders dreamed of opening an in-house kiddie wonderland dessert café but quickly realized they faced the biggest challenge to food establishments in shopping centers- transportability. People, especially kids wanted to be on the go. So how to make ice cream and waffles, now a huge mess, easy to eat while browsing the aisles was imperative.

Hammont tested hundreds of materials conducting drop tests to see how well we improved with each iteration. Until we found the perfect material. We created a full line of heavy-duty cups and plates, veritably kid proof. All custom printed with the Geoffrey the Giraffe Toys R Us mascot. We solved the problem so well; staff immediately reported a major decrease in emergency clean-ups, allowing them to be more productive. Customers even carried café packaging with them through the mall generating free advertising which wasn’t possible before!

Hammont packaging become so popular with its kid friendly aesthetic, toys R us’ little target customers come in just for Geoffrey’s Café. ‘They ended up staying to browse and buy. Hammonts Cups became a giant lead magnet!
